ok. well a week ago my car started ticking... alot so i took it home and stioed driving it. left it at home till i could change the lifters. changed the lifters and the ticking wouldnt go away even after letting it bleed for 20mins. so ive left it there since.
also when we opened up the top and had a look at the cam there is dammage on where it runs in the head. the lobes are fine but it looks like it hasnt had oil.
now since then i did a compression test and here is what the results are
5. 180 (5 had the colapsed lifter)
so now it looks like im looking for a new head / cam / rocker gear/ ect. can anyone tell me what to get or where to go.
i want to do this once and get a good power figure out of it.
i have a j3, exhaust, extractors and will be shaving the head to get a 11.1 comp to suit the cam.
the cam i was lookin at is from camtech:
Rough idle, strong upper mid
range and top end, modified engines only. Min 11:1 comp ratio.
RPM RANGE 3000-6500
290˚ 290˚ 247˚ 247˚ .602" .602" 108˚ HYD HYD
or a regrind from wade of the 1521a
what do you think??
i dont want to spend all this money and not have more power. i want as much bang for buck as i can really.

I have a wade 1521a in my ed xr6 and i love it pulls hard after 3 grand limiters set at 5800 but om gonna push it to 6 with more fuel
