After checking out threads on cat back systems for some time now, I finally bit the bullet and bought one. I had to, my stock exhaust rusted out.
I settled on a Redback 2 1/2 in with a single muffler. Cost $350 fitted. from Beerwah Exhaust Brake & Radiator Centre....Carline quoted $650
Sounds great. Nice deep tone on acceleration. Not too loud & doesn't drone when cruising. A bit of extra go too.
I was quoted $385 for set of pacemaker extractors fitted, so that'll be the next job. I asked the exhaust guy about a high flow cat, and he said the standard Ford one is a high flowing one anyway, and as long as it was in good condition it would be fine for daily street use. Save your money. :D

I was quoted an extra $75 for big oval tip, but cos I got a wagon it wouldn't fit. And the smaller ones looked a bit naff , so I didn't bother.
