Hey guys, I'd like to get your opinion on these Nizpro kits for the ba 6 and whether you would take this over the JMM gear. I copied this from the site, the cost and expected power gains for each stage.

Stage 1:
NizEdit and Fuel Pressure Regulator. Expect a 15-20 rwkw increase and between 160 and 165 rwkw.

Stage 2:
As per Stage 1 + Extractors and high-flow exhaust system. Expect a 15 rwkw gain and between 175 and 180 rwkw.

Stage 3:
As per Stages 1 and 2 + either: Nizpro camshafts and valve springs, or, Nizpro plenum and intake system. Expect a 20-25 rwkw increase and between 195 and 200 rwkw.

Stage 4:
As per Stage 1, 2 and 3, including both the Nizpro Plenum/intake system, camshafts and valve springs. Expect an additional 20-25 rwkw increase and between 215 and 220 rwkw

Pricing:

Stage 1: $1995
Stage 2: $3250
Stage 3: $5245 (camshafts), $5100 (intake system)
Stage 4: $7095

I joined the forum to find out some more info and i was curious when i came across expectations for quarter mile times. This is what one of the moderators said.

Anyway, you asked the question regarding 1/4 mile performances. Well, in an ideal world (perfect traction, incredibly fast shift times and so forth, a Stage 2 NA Cobra equipped vehicle would achieve a 12.5 @ 108 mph.

Now we know this won't happen, however a high 12 at around the 108mph is feasible.

Does this seem a little to0 quick for a NA XR6, however if its correct then thats bloody awesome. What are your views on this.

Cheers, George

Sorry, by the way i have no connection with Nizpro and am not a promoter of their products. Reason for saying this is because this topic was deleted from another forum for posting it, just want to get your opinion, thats all.

*cough*s**t*cough*
With 170-180 rwkw in heavy a** BA I reckon the most you could hope for is a 14 flat.
People with equilavent power in the lighter EF/ELs are only turning out low 14s so I don't know how you could possibly expect 12s. I'd also doubt their power claims if they're making such outrageous statements as these...

I know, their gear is really expensive.
Hyena, I agree 12s do seem abit outrageous but what about the power figures? I saw the dyno graph and a photo of the motor on the engine dyno. They said 276kw at 6350rpm and 470nm of torque at something like 4800 rpm. Theyve raised the rev limit to 6500 rpm.

Spoke to the moderator of the site, he made a mistake with the times. He was reffering to the turbo upgrade kits.

For the NA he said
Stage 2 180rwkw, should be good for a 14.2
Stage 3 200rwkw 13.7
Stage 4 220 rwkw low 13's

Now thats more like it and also much more believable.
Might start saving up for a stage 2

Would that mean those prices are for the turbo as well?
That would make more sense.
