xf 1985 4.1 new rebuild engine with ACL rings/pistons crow cam been to castrol oil web site and they recommend castrol magnatec 10w-40 or GTX 3 15w-40 for 3.3/4.1 ulp engs 1986-88 is this right i was thinking more along the lines of GTX 2 25w-50

interesting, penrite suggests hpr30 which is 20w60
don't overlook this brand, good oil also have a read of the "oil" sticky at top for comments on the various types

what would be the oil experts out there recommend for my xf, had a acl full rebuild
only done approx 10,000kms since then....
_________________ 84 XF Falcon S Pak, 250 crossflow (rebuilt ~5000km ago, carby model), Bored out 30 thou, Crow racing cam, extractors, yokohama 245's all the way round, chrome 12 slotters, lowered, 4spd man, open wheeler (blew my lsd...), Thumping sound system, L.E.D's everywhere |
