The gauges are known to be inacurate, don't warry about unless it does it again. I assume the engine was warm?

A myriad of High series EF-AUIII dash inaccuracies can be solved with this simple repair. Add an extra earth cable from the battery negative cable to the engine block. It doesn't need to be a thick cable, in the past I've had success with even speaker wire. It has been known to solve oil pressure gauge false readings also can help low alternator charge rates when everytihng else tests ok.

Of course with any oil pressure concern it's wise not to assume it's ok, or just a gauge prob. It's best practice to comfirm oil pressure by using a master gauge screwed directly into the block.

True but if its a one off occasion, then I don't see there is any real concern unless it repeats its self. Then yes you will need to investigate further.
My oil pressure gauge has done this very same thing once, over 12 months ago it hasn't happened again. I put it down to an anomally.
