hey guys,the big ea...she starts fine in the mornings with good high oil pressure,after driving about 10kms if i come to idle the guage drops to the red line,but at revs pressure comes up again.Tappets arent tapping so its not too low but it has me slightly worried,iv only had the sender and oil pressure guage in for 2 weeks and its done it the whole time...what could this be??this cluster was in the old s pack and worked perfectly,im confident its not the cluster at fault,but the sender is brand new

could be old oil
as oil heats up it looses it's thickness... and becomes thinner so at low rpm ie idle the oil pressure is very low but is fine when you have a few hundred rpm more change the oil to a thicker oil and see how that goes or get a mechanical pressure guage to doubel check the sender and guage are working

had also just done an oil change with thicker oil,was using castrol fmx i put gtx in,the thickest we use at work
