Hey Guys, long time no post....
This is a question for all my Perth Buddies... I have just gotten back to perth after a long 11 years of playing around the country and now I need to know of a few decent mechanics in the Perth area.. I will need jobs done soon on my Xr6 suck as maybe a manual conversion and exhaust work.. then some internal motor work etc etc and I just wanted to get some advice on good/bad mechanics.. I am in the Kwinana Area as well if that helps... cheers guys Steve

Dim at prestige autos (welshpool) is top notch. Dont know if he'll do a manual conversion, but engine work etc he has a great reputation and is a top bloke too. If you go there tell him Kurt sent ya.

Prestige Autos overcharge wickedly. I was quoted $1500 for Pacie Comps, Highflow Cat and a 2.5 straight through system. They only really like to work on new cars and "prestige cars" as well. Not just your typical E-series.

Your loss. If you want the job done right then I can recommend him, the prices he charges is fair for the work done.
You might be thinking of a different place Sadist. He'd probably tell you to go to an exhaust shop if thats what you were after. My missus actually got me onto him - she got her old laser and also her new corolla serviced there with good price and service. He works on Kilma's EF XR8 and built the motor in my 355 ute and works on my BA turbo. |

sadist you are proberly talinkg about prestige exhaust in malaga!
he is very pricey if you dont know him! take my exhaust for example for my fairmont ghia 4L he quoted me $2500 grand orginaly for difilipio headers(ceramic coated) 3 inch cat, pipe, muffler and resonator, all stainles steel and polished! long storey short he found out i was going to get it done somehwere else and droped the price to $2000. i got the job done from him at the end and he did a fantastic job! |
