When I bought my power steering fluid, I didn't know there were different types...always thought it was the red stuff.

Anyways I went to Kmart and bought myself whatever they had...fortunately for me, they had the correct stuff...and on special. The colour of the fluid is golden/brown rather than red. It is Formula F and according to Valvoline, it is used specifically for EL and AU power steering pumps.

I was told by arm79 that the brown fluid is supposed to be able to handle heat better and stay cooler over the red stuff.
