My EL was leaking at the back, so I went to Ford dealer looked on their microfische and got a couple of seals(white plastic ones for the adapter and hose end) they didnt do the job for long at all, just like yours
It will be the pressure hose end swage assy leaking, which you cant replace the seal.
Just buy another pressure hose ($70) and that will fix the leak, it did fix mine finally.
You will need to cut part of a 18mm ring spanner out, to fit over the hose end fitting to make the job easier.

The problem is the fluid is leaking out from that nut and then onto another component underneath the tank.

Not sure what the component is but it's got metal windings inside it which are exposed.
