Interesting there guys. Might look into the fuel pressure regulator. Now just gotta wait a month or so until I can visit Mr Mock.

Good for the Mrs, yup.
I bought it new and I think the price (as advertised) for FM members is $396

Did you install yourself, if not, what was the labour/extra parts costs?

No, installation was when I got the head gasket done. I paid someone to do this. It was expensive.

Well as most of you guys know ive had a Wade Cam for sometime.

Custom Grind of the 1004 for LPG as im Straight Gas.

Also have extractors and mandrel bent exhaust, mandrel bent intake, filter, spiral core leads, and iridium plugs. I noticed 50+kms on the freeway on economy plus much better response and smoother idle for the LPG all round compared to stock on the gas or the standard 1004 cam they have.

I haven't lost any top end, early exhaust open which allowing a very quick take off and through the revs i have a clean rev out and top end is still great and probably better.

So considering i have a fair few mods (if you can call it that) it tends to breath a lot better. Having the mandrel bent intake on + your exhaust/extractors i think is definately a must and if you dont already have this and have a Wade Cam i suggest its most 100% recommended as i noticed a major difference on breathing from the bigger 3" mandrel bent intake and a decent filter..

All cam's expect somewhat of a combination of things to allow the cam to its full potential!

My 2c.

Drazull, go ITS Performance otherwise you might find yourself more out of pocket then happy go hard car lover in the end if you ask me! .. The engines are ALL Rebuilt unlike mock and much cheaper and better quality materials used for his engines!

In the spitit of comparing cams i will have a comparison in 2 weeks of a Wade 1004/100 vs Wade 1521a/114.

1004 with cat back ran 15.4@90mph, will see on the 8th what the 1521a cam runs.

wade informed me in previous emails that the 1521a needs an aftermarket computer.

what one are you using?

with the 15.4 using a 1004. my car with that cam ran constant 15.5/15.6 in a 5 speed EF XR6 with extractors and 2.5 inch exhaust. with the xr6 cam in there it was 15.2/15.3

Bingo.

Car is running a stock EL EECV. Idle is better than a 1004/110 and definatly stacks more pull 3000+ than a 1004, however it has lost a fair bit of power 0-2500rpm which makes standing starts not blistering, but once rolling its way quicker.

My 15.4 was run in an automatic Fairmont with no extractors and an open 3.23:1 diff.

Walky, what valve springs did you end up going with?
Also did you have to use more shims than a 1004?

I'm getting a 1521a ground as soon as the T5 is in.
