mate, i luv it, im pretty happy i got it, good investment, but i have not experienced any other form of induction before, although my mate has a XR6T and he reckons improves the response a lil bit too, and my mate has an AU xr6 and he says the same, but its entirely up to you, it is a lot of money for a simple snorkel and a couple of scoops, although your could do the larger XR8 snorkel + the secondary XR8 snorkel down below your headlights, if there is room in the e series falcons, i dont know much about that yet, so u amy have to ask someone else...
cheers,
dave.

The intake straight of a BA V8. It'll hook into your existing (new) six cylinder air intake.

You can never have too much cold air, but with the xr8 snorkel aswell it will have an awesome intake sound. Seeing as u have the ss, it might be a tad (probably alot!) overkill but if your planning do a little more work to the motor like extractors, exhaust, cam or chip it should be good.

Nice work. It would seem that the SS induction would be a better choice for a BA falcon. I think the E-Series cars can put the AU snorkel in and its a better alternative.
Thanks for sharing.

one of the main differences in intakes (ss vs au111 xr8) is the diameter of the snorkel where it enters the airbox. the xr8 one is the same size as a stock one. only the mouth is bigger. compare this with the ss inductions type (aunger do 1 too) where the diameter is icreased the whole way. you can almost reach your arm in and touch the filter if you're skinny.

good to see the better flowing intake has brought the economy down. i get pretty good economy from my ef xr6 (10.5 - 11.0l/1ookm) and the temptation to upgrade to a ba has been resisted as a lot of people i know who own them all say they are thirsty.

also ford will not put bigger intakes on all models as its all about cost. 5c x 4000 vehicles/month all adds up and lets face it 80% of the population will not be bothered by it anyway. same with exhaust side of it. us enthusiasts and modders have found that bigger intakes and exhaust improve economy but the downside is it becomes a bit noisier and as it is a family car... plus i've heard the std headers actually flow quite well.

sorry to ramble on

Supercharger would be awesome, the stage 1 capa kit produces 227rwkw, it would turn the xt into an absolute aniimal of a car
Good luck with insurance though, lol. The edit would probably be the best option

heh insurance? well outta curiositiy i just wrang them up and they said that it is no extra charge on my insurance....wots the go? i was VERY surprised, anyhoo, i will qring 'em again, just incase :)
and i was thinking about getting the vortech BA 4.0L supercharger kit, non intercooled atm, that produces 305kw@flywheel, the intercooled one for another $3000 produces 345kw@flywheel, its about $5,500 to buy, prob another $1000 to install, and i would definately need to get myself a limo and most possibly strengthen my tranny, auto, although i have heard its best to have an auto with superchargers....bcuz auto's are stronger than manny...i dunno, its just the 'curiosity' stage atm, but then again...i was curious with the induction and the wheels :P

Question: Why is it AU III and not like a BA intake snorkel that ppl use? Or are they basically the same thing?
