If you have installed an XR Gearbox, then No, once you have the XR diff then you won't need to alter the Speedo gear.

All Clusters use the same Pulse.
So there is no speedo difference between the GLi, XR and Fairmont clusters.

The only way to know for sure is to remove the speedo drive and see which colour the gear is, they are colour coded.

Like i said in the other post,if you run the xr6 ecu, trans and diff you wont have a problem but as ltdho said the only real way to see what gear it has is to take it out and see.
There are 3 different gears for the ef xr6 that ford sell, i only just went through all of this 3 or 4 months ago.

or just use a GPS to check your speed if its right then youd don't need to calibrate it or change the speedo gear.
