K frame and firewall will be fine no changes

The rear gearbox cross menmeber on the body will just need two new holes drilled

the rest is straight forward

cheers

the EF motor uses a coil pack but the EA uses a dizzy.. just put the dizzy on the EF motor and you should be fine

if you are using your ea accessories you need to cut of fthe timing indicator on the ef engine and tap one hole.

Apart from that pretty easy

can i just use the EF coil pack and just get rid of the dizzy all together

dose any one have some pics of a EF engine in a EA so i can have some reffence to refer too mainly the transmission mount as ill need to do this in a weekend

so i take it that all the wiring harness will be fine they'll plug straight up to the engine/trans and ecu

http://fordmods.com/forums/troymans-au-engine-into-ea-conversion-using-el-ecu-updated-t40806.html

read that thread it will be pretty close to what u are attempting to do

And no you cant use the Coil Pack, you will have to use a dizzy - you wont be able to run the EF ECU either as far as i know - EA-EL (minus ef) has 60 something pins EF has over 100.

i believe you will have to use a MPFI dizzy aswell, if u want to run the BBM. (but i doubt you will be able to control the actuator without an RPM switch)

the rear gearbox cross memeber --- shouldn't you be able to just use an EA-ED one ???

Easiest IMO is use everything from the EA onto the EF engine get it running later on convert to a MPFI setup(if it is CFI)

Why do you have to do this ??? just curious.

i did this conversion on a cfi ea. mine was already 4spd auto. the auto swap with the wiring would be a big job. the only real dramas i had ( i used my ea accessories. ) was i had to make a timing pointer, after i cut the original off. and i had to drill a new hole in the a/c idler bracket to line up with one of the timing case bolts. used a long bolt out of the ea motor and a 10mm spacer. used the ea mounts, inlet manifold, accessory brackets, water pump, everything. computer ran it all no dramas.
