1, Will a 4.0L cam fit in a 3.9L
2, If so, is it just a matter of taking the original one out and replacing it? or does it have to go in a certain way to ensure the timing is correct? If the latter is true, How do i make sure it's in correctly? Thanks

1. Yes
2. Yes, it will only go on the gear one way so as long as you do the cam change properly (dont let the chain go slack and reset the tensioner) it will be in the right place. BTW - there is very little difference between the 4.0 and 3.9 cams.

Yeah i figured there is only a small difference but i've got a 4.0L cam sitting there, and if it does make an improvement (even slighty) it won't be a waste. thanks for the advice.
