sure will with money and fabrication!

However being a 86' it'll be the s**t of all manuals and the bell housing won't fit and the starter is on the wrong side.

Short answer No.

keep an eye out for a t5 in a 90's ford.

i dont think thats qujite right

86 is an xf, and xf t5s are the same as EA and EB1 t5s. a mate has one in his EL. not necessarily anything wrong with it

i think xfs also had the 4 sped manual (toploader?) but that proly wont fit

search in the gearbox forum, its been asked before
