Can anyone give me a quick run down on the process of changing the hydraulic lash adjuster, vehicle is a 6 month 93 ebll gli.

And any special tools needed to complete the job?

To do the HLA's - ie. just to undo and lift off the rocker gear, no you don't have to do anything with the tensioner. The cam WON'T tip up or anything like that - the amount of tension thru the chain is not enough to cause that.

You only have to relieve the tension if you're going to undo the cam gear - ie. to remove the cam itself.
