Hey guys,

Decided to do a compression test on my 300,000kms old engine. All cylinders showed 185 psi, noticed a few pops while doing test.

Now the engine idles very poorly.

What have I broken now?

Thanks
Callum

Yeah, that was the first thing I checked. They're in the order I took them out, 1 at the front.

Did you disconnect the ignition module when you did the test? I believe they can "break" if they haven't got a spark plug to fire.

Not sure, will have to check.

Workshop manual told me to disconnect the injector relay but didn't say which one it was, so I removed the injector plugs from all the injectors instead, figured it did the same thing.

You could've just removed the fuel pump fuse..

Probably would have made life easier, dropped two of the clips taking the plugs off, luckily found them quite easily. The workshop manual is hopeless for finding out which relay is for what. Thought they would have at least marked it on the relay cover.

Will do tomorrow tomorrow. Pretty sure they were correct though.

Anyway, appreciate the help guys

f**k lol! so it turns out the fourth injector plug wasn't plugged in fully.. that'll do it.

Oh well, hopefully this will help someone down the line lol.

For future reference can anyone tell me what relay is for what? No labeling what so ever.

Thanks
Callum

Relays:

Under the edge of the header tank:
Relay closest to the engine is the ECU Relay, Green? next relay is the fuel pump relay Brown?

Set between the guard and the battery are rear to front:
Started Relay, Healight Relay, Highbeam Relay, Horn Relay.

Greens pump, brown must be ECU
