how many shim should i need for my rpd r3 ?? from what i worked out i need 6 but the HLA are like falling out could i be doing some thing wrong ??
has any one had to put that many in b4??

i think 5-6 sounds about right.. if you got the RPD rocker gear, it removes the number of shims required, usually maximum of 2.

Hey Efbignik,

I'm currently running an RPD Rspec3 cam in my eb, running ef rockers, and I had nowhere near 6 shims, I had about 3 (Can confirm this for you if you'd like) all of the RPD team can help you out with shims too, butyea, I think that they used 3 on mine.

woh 6 shims in a rocker sounds a little exsessive to me but who knows what rpd are up to i have a mild cam in mine(wade) and only used 2, which is the norm but i did here that soe of the rpd cams have 3

if i have 1mm of lash adjust i still need like 4.4 mm of shims

Let the lash determine how many shims you need.

I guess your not using ford shims here because with 6 of them the HLA doesnt even fit in the rocker arm.
