hi there
today i got a new remote for my 97 EL Fairmont. And i programed it the way i was told to and read all over the internet. The remote unlocks and locks the car aswell as unlocks the boot. Did it a couple of times just incase it didnt work properly

the problem im having is i cant start the car. after i have unlocked the car and turn the key to start the car, the indicator lights come on and stay on, not allowing me to start the car. like it is an immobilised position. im not sure what i can do or what is happening
any help would be great
