you need to get a smart lock bypass to get the car to start, i dont have the keypad for my ef and i dont have a problem with it i unlock the car with the key and it starts

why does he need a smartlock bypass???
the smartlock bypass only enables the ecu..it dont enable the ignition bypass in the smartlock module.
you dont need the remote to start the car, the remote only unlocks the doors

if the car soes not crank over? first look at the cluster and is the smartlock light flashing fast?

if the smartlock light goes out when ignition is on.
while turning the key to crank give the hand brake area a thump with your hand and if it starts? the smartlock module has a loose connection inside..
