I think my car's getting sick again. As of late, the idel has roughend up again, and i can smell coolent when the thing heats up to normal running temp. The car is due for a service, and as for leaks, well there doesnt appear to be any. Suggestions?

Is it using coolant?

And as I stated last time about glycol smell:

"If its slowly leaking you should be able to see coolant around the cork sump gasket,

Also Have you looked behind the exhaust manifold between cyl 5 & 6? if its wet it sounds like a typical head gasket.

Hope its not a head gasket, It could as simple as the plastic Bung in the water tank of the radiator on the OFF-SIDE (10mm plug). "

The smell of coolant was my first sign of a head gasket failure not to scare you, but its worth looking into. and if it is, it'll be a good saturday for ya!

hope this helps
Andrew
