hey all.

I think its safe to say none of you know me. At the moment i drive an xf fairmont and later on this year will be looking for a AU. I would like the au to be stock manual. But would some kindly enough tell me the diffrence betwen say the forte and the SR is there a diffrence would i be best of buying a base model falcon. I would like electric windows and things like that . So what model falcon should i be looking at?
would i be better of geting a XR6HP ??? manual

mod side of things

once i have got the looks side of things of hte falcon to my liking i would like to down the track supercharge or turbo my AU what would be better of doing . and also if i were to get a dev kit from JMM would i have to remove the cam if i were to go down the forced induciton road?

or would i be better of keeping the car N/A and geting the dev5 or dev5a cam kit what other work could be done to get more power out of the cam kits?... would just geting the cam kit make you happy? power wise?

Please throw me some idea's

good luck finding a AU manual forte..

best bet is to look for a AU S
basically a XR6hp with a manula box and firmer suspension and 16" rims
not quite the tickford setup but prety close

That's what I thought until I came across 4 au forte manuals and one ef XR look a like in the same car yard. They only had about 12 other cars in the lot so not a big yard, all very cheap to.

the xr6 hp feels more responsive then the vct, i never seen any real advantages to the vct, the vct was a good idea, but didnt have the power to back it up, and i always wonder..whats the point of havin variable timing ona ohc...?

Frank is lying, he's actually the proud owner of an EL XR6.

Isn't cool enough to own an AU.

I have never seen 1 either. But did spot a Futura with the IRS fitted to it. The only 1 I've seen not a XR or premium model. the VCT mtrs seem to run richer on the dyno's
