Hey Guys,

As the title suggests, i have a slight issue at about 5300rpm, with my turbo motor. Given the fact that the leads are all near new , as well as the plugs and coil is brand spankers. Should i bite the bullet and replace the dizzy, before i take it to the tuners for a tweak after i do the 3 inch exhaust (2 1/2" could have been part of the prob in the first place)

Cheers

:D Daz 8-)

0.8mm.....Pro-Comp respectively ( i have an MSD 6AL & Blaster to go on with better leads as well )

I never revved it to 5500 before the turbo went on. So i am trying to eliminate eveything that is "easily replaced" before ripping the distributor out!!!

Cheers

Daz

throw the pro-comp s**t in the bin.

fit a REAL MSD 6A the 'L' is waste of money on an EFI car, the only feature it has over a 6A is a rev limmiter.

Got a similar problem at the moment ignition breakdown at 4000 RPM on an I6 supercharged @ 8PSI Boost.

Ignition system is Crane Hi6 Fireball

Mechanics are going over it.

I think i have sorted it out, appears i had both ignitions (Ford TFI and EMS fighting) Disconnected the Pink/blue wire altogether, negative wire from EMS ignitor to the white wire on my MSD 6AL....sweet, fired first go, and easier to boot when cold...Now it's pinging it tits off under boost....lol

What ECU you running Opto??

Cheers

Tune it using the EMS, take some timing out where it starts to ping. Best to do this on adyno for optimum results. Why are you using an ignitor for the EMS, are you running coil packs or sequential ignition with coil on plug?? I only needed the ignitor when i went to coil packs, prior to that my EMS was controlling the TFI

It's getting tweaked on Saturday. I read i needed an ignitor, so i got the ems one. I disconnected the ems one and took the car for a drive, and it was still breaking down, so maybe the TFI is a bit sus, doesnt matter anyway, as i have the ems ignitor, i'm just using the PIP signal for the trigger, all quite simple.......now...lol.
I can still drive it, just have to go easy on the gas pedal till Saturday.

Cheers
