grrr thats one thing i dont have. a multimeter. il try tightening the bastard and see how i go. is tightening the alternator belt the same as the power steering belt?

do up the aircon belt.
its the aircon. not the alternator.
i can see it in my crystal balls.
do it up, youll see.

i look in my crystal balls...it is cloudy a bit, but i can see a man who is too lazy to do up his aircon belt.
Also, make sure its on the right way..the belt does not go over the adjuster pulley, it goes under.
look kezza, its the aircon belt ok? f**k..this is not a time for multimeters.
the crystall balls never lie.

damn, tightened everything, noise subsided big time, then alternator belt snapped. lucky i wasnt too far from home. must have overtightened the bastard

yer probley over did it if it snaped. and also wa sit an old belt? that can make noise sometimes. Have u sprayed them with silicon lube?

nah didnt spray them with silicon lube, just sprayed some wd40 to determine where abouts the squek was. it was an old belt it was a tad frayed. just pleased it didnt snap in the middle of nowhere..

have u replace the belt yet? has the sound gone away? yer fortunatly it u noticed and it didnt dmage anything

nope not yet, il nip down to supercheap and buy two incase it happens when im not that close to home :shock:
