in the process of stripping down my mates old EF, and we are gonna take the motor out. Can anyone tell me the process of pulling the motor out of the car?

we drop the entire motor and transmission out the bottom. complete with suspension and x member. this method might be a bit hard without a hoist.
trying to pull the entire motor with auto out the top can be hard as you need to pull it out almost vertical so it clears the steering rack ect.

we will probably disconnect the tranny and just take the motor out.

Disconnect all hoses and wiring harnesses, and remove the aircon compressor. Leave that connected to the car 8-)

dont for get the exhaust manifold
remove the thermo fans and RAD will give u more room.
get engine crane and use one of the exhaust manifold bolts at the rear of teh car and the front lifting point :)
