iv gone through 2 diffs in a year in my 6 cyl ef, first one made bad clunking sounds when cornering and now the one currently in it had a hole in the backing plate and silver oil, is there any upgrade i can do to stop going through diffs?

What mods have you got? Mine is running strongly with a 4WD Systems Lokka.

its got a fully rebuild engine with alot of work done, shift kit and 4.11s and nitrous, i think the shift kit has done it...need something stronger without the hassle of getting a 9 inch to fit

Helium filled shoes by any chance?

How many kms did the diff with the silver oil have before it let go? Did you just through in a wrecker diff or was it reconditioned? Somethings definitely not right with that one.

Either a 4wd systems lokka or a KAAZ. For the cost of the lokka you can't really beat it, the KAAZ are nice but cost a fair bit.

i think there must have been something wrong with the diff to start off with or the driving style is of someone who drives it like they stole it??..
the std lsd diff can take alot of power..

i know of supercharged v8's that are pushing alot more torque and power than a boosted 6 could ever push and his diff is holding up fine!!

my diff is std lsd and supercharged and no sign of diff problems...
