Hi Fellas,

As some of you may know I am in the process of getting a full custom whipple supercharger set up installed on my EL Falcon!

I recently just had the head replaced from CVE but one of the rocker arms was faulty and has pretty much gone through the block due to mechanically failure.

I have spent a lot of coin on the car and the only things left to be done were the bottom end and beefing up the auto.

I am in a bit of a tight spot for cash at this point in time however I do not like to take shortcuts and beleive in doing things right the first time.

Can anyone recommend me a engine combo with all the forged goodies to support around 400-450rwk safely?

The supercharger is a 2.2ltr units and capable of decent power.

If anyone can even recommend a few good engine builders that wont want my first born for the job would be great also?

Thanks

If you want those numbers from a SOHC, I hope you get a good price for your first born :D

Also don't hold your breath expecting 450RwKw with the supercharger.

I don't like your chances of 450rwkw with a supercharger..

you would be lucke to get that from a turbo @20psi boost.

Fair enough mate. Further down the track I might slap a turbo on. So I would like the room there.
The whipple charger I am using is a 2.2ltr unit and capable of up to 30psi

Still don't think you are going to see anywhere near 450. At least you will keep the intercooler temps down. What speed is the charger doing at 30psi? What model Whipple?

300 odd rwhp will be easily achievable and quite reliable at around 12psi
600rwhp means you also need to look at $$$ fuel system, flywheels, clutches, gearboxes and diff / axles,

Like I said above I do understand that the supercharger may not be capable of pushing as far as 450rwk but if I am going through the hassle of rebuilding the bottom end i would like to future proof it as I may go turbo if the supercharger does not suit my needs in the future.

I have attached a spec sheet I found online in regards to specs on the blower
http://www.not2fast.com/turbo/maps/AUTO ... YSHOLM.pdf

And yes I am aware I will need focus on other driveline components. The fuel system side of things is already taken care of. Besides the bottom end only other things that need attention is the transmission and things such as axels etc

Cheers and thanks for the info guys

4) Forged BA/BF Pistons, Use Turbo Pistons 8.8:1 Comp.

6) New AU Oil Pump. You can't get high volume aftermarket Oil Pumps. standard unit will serve you well.

Thanks heaps for info SWC. Looks like I am ditching the supercharger set up! I have spent too much money to only achieve 400rwk! I aiming for around 400-500rwk now. I am getting a custom twin turbo set up with 2 gt35/40 turbos!

Once I get the engine done i will save up for the rest of the driveline!

Bloody cars they sure are money pits!
