bought a supercharged 97 ghia. high comp pistons, ported heads, injectors, flash tuned, sprintex supercharger, pacemakers 2.5inch into 3inch tip. probably more.

not running as fast as you'd think it would be.

now the previous owner said hes never really had it tuned for performance and its on around 4psi. which leaves me to think the charger is probably robbing more power then what its giving back.

also the 4sp seems like it has a shift kit, really launchs into 2nd and jumps about 10km/h up the speedo.

this car is fast, but it just feels de-tuned at the moment.

also its missing the snorkel which well you can imagine the heat in the engine bay of a supercharged I6. HOT! so that could be an issue also.

i really want some help with this one, first supercharged car.

why would you want high compression pistons when its forced induction, isn't it better to have a lower compression ratio

Any Supercharger I have seen installed on an e-series has the pod exposed under the bonnet with no snorkel...........

Ahs it got a Chip installed in the J3 Port? detuned or not tuned at all?

You really need a chip to have it tuned properly to suit a super charger

Post some pics up.

The high comp pistons might be why its only running 4psi.

Might've been built to be high performance NA then if it didn't goes as well as he wanted added the supercharger... But those hi-comp pistons are holding it back.

Adding an intercooler could help by lowering intake temperatures.

'Special pistons' could be low comp? 4psi isn't going to be producing a lot of power, which may be the problem.
