:? I have a 2001 xr 6. Yesterday when I was idling in traffic the temperature guage went up and an alarm sounded. On the left hand sie of the instrument panel in the bottom circle a lamp came on which was red, showing a hand and inside the hand was a car. I had never seen this lamp before light up. I took it to my ford dealer as there was absolutely no coolant left. They replaced the o ring into the water pump as they said this is where the leak was coming from. They then performed a pressure test. HOWEVER the lamp is still flashing on the instrument panel when the ignition is off. Would anyone know the exact meaning of this warning light? If the leak was fixed should the warning light still be flashing? and what is the normal position for the temparture guage needle (between N and O in the word normal??). I would appreciate any advice on this. Many thanks
