i replaced the tensioner pulleys in the el abt a month ago now the top one is noisy and when i put some rp7 on it is quiet, so its nackered.
m question is whats goin on the pulleys i put in were ford ones, and u i have done this abt 4 times on ef's and au's, is it that i just got a dud or did i miss somethin.
any help, thanks

i replaced mine about 2 year ago cos they where noisy. I put after-market metal pullys on, the replacable bearing type. since then i've been through 4 bearings in one of the pullys. they just keep getting noisy and grt tight to spin. luckly the bearings only cost $12ea.

I've only had to replace mine once as one fo them was noisey - forget which one now, never had to touch 'em since! Maybe you did get a dud, take back for replacement if it's only been a month.

i'll have to as the ones done to the ef have lasted abt 2 yrs and the au's are now abt 400,000k's old and still quiet.
