ok a little bit more errr dribble from me

with the housings, what differances are there? & did they change the setup thru differant models or was it a 'yearly' thing??

ie

'88 EA Fairmont Ghia [on gas & thats the hose to the converter you see]

Image

'88 EA GLI wagoon, '89 's' sedan & '90 sedan ['88/'89 'appear' to ba the same? '90 is last]

'91 EA sedan

'93 EB wagoon

now my main question is [other than the err 'little' ones above] is - ARE the '91/'92/'93 & [maybe the] '94 Thermostat Housing the same re what is in the '91 photo?? the '93 'appears' to be missing whats in the '91 & there IS a connection there as in the '91, but in a differant spot/wiring loom section

anyone??

ok..
the ea's early ebs had the valve with the 2 vacuum hoses running of them.. this is for aircon vent recurculation, basically when the aircon is on and the engine temp gets high it switches the dash vent to recurculate instead of fresh, i can only assume its to help with the efficiency of the aircon??

and eb2 on has a screw in bung(nothing there, except for cars fitted with electronic climate controle( fairmont ghia) they had an electrical switch that the blue plug in the pic goes onto,
again i assume its for the same purpose as above...

the small sender is for the temp gauge, and the other big sender is for water temp to the ecu..

car does have the electronic climate control [as per the ghias i've bought prev. '88, '90 & '91] but is nota fairmont ghia .. going by the tailgate its a '93 gli wagoon & the seats etc don't look anythin like the ghia sedans i've bought & seening the temp gauge aint workin .. i'd say replace i need ta replace the sender aye
