i cant get the timing gear on the cam that i am installing.
Do i have to release the tensionor bolt, put the timing gear on the cam and tighten the tensionor bolt back up??? How tight does the tensionor bolt have to go? Thanks Guys Ben

You have to undo the tensioner bolt, and then release the tensioner.
The bolt is mearly a bung, with an oil filter attached. When removed the tensioner is on a ratchet. You can undo the whole assembly without releasing the tensioner, but its best to do it properly. 3mm allen key and a biro pen housing. If you have a manual, read that as its all explained!

If you dont release the tensioner, and screw it back in after putting the cam gear on, you may very well snap the aux shaft. definately remove, release, reinstall

yeah we did that all cool its just a lifter is now f**k and its running on 5 not 6. Off to see if there is a wrecker open tomorrow so i can fix the C***.
