My head Gasket has blown.

when I adjust timing mark on Crank shaft fully, Cam shaft sprocket timing mark more than 7mm above the upper edge of the cylinder head.
manual says can be upto 3mm.

I'm confused, I'm just about to release timing tension.

is it out of timing?

Please help.

Thanks

Sounds out by a tooth.

Your on tdc no.1 firing on the pulley mark and the cam sprocket as you look at it rh side dot mark should be above the rocker cover join by a few ( 3 ) mm.

7mm sounds a little too much.

Tensioner will probably make it wors as it stretches the chain. Wind the engine clockwise on the pulley a few time to the pulley mark and check it a few times to be sure.

To do the head I guess you taken the cam and valve gear off the head and taken the cam sproket off the chain.
