Probably doesn't have traction control. I think it was only in the very top models?

thats what i was thinking, but it has to have it.
whenever i dump it into a corner and accelerate hard it just looses all torque and dies, cuts out. its doing everything the traction control descibes it does?
unless i got some other problem.

cheers

If it's a ute I don't think you could turn it off.

if it has traction control, youd know it. just plant your foot to the floor in the wet. if you hear the car make a stupid sound and jerk a little whilst and stoping the wheels spinning, then you have traction control.
as far as im consernd all ford models that have traction control have a button for it on the center consol on the dash. these exclude ba series1

When the traction control activates a picture of a spinning wheel will flash on the dashboard
When you start the car the same light will light up as a diagnostic

Of course the easiest way is to look at the ABS module. If it has traction the module is different (more pipes I think - due to the extra rear break circuit)

Compare yours to someone who you know doesn't have it.

ba utes do not have traction control, u'r friend is a fool. as for the au if it has traction control it will have a button. if u still doubt that then remove the abs fuse and go for a fang. if it is a freak 1 off au that has traction without a button then disabling the abs will also disable the tractoin, but may also throw a code. imo u'r not trying hard enough, go find a secluded back road and get on the grass and let her rip!

Surely in an Au falcon... you can get the wheels spinning around a corner... they have more power then EA falcons and ive seen EA falcons do it with ease...
