For those that know what the cause of this poblem would be, my car is a 94 Ford Falcon 6cyl EF 4 speed auto and is starting at high RPMS. It starts at 11oo to 12oo RPMS and slowly climbs. It's start and idle RPMS are 900 RPMS. Since it slowly climbs, that means I can't warm the car up properly. The RPM needle also goes up a little higher and faster than the speedo needle. When I brake I can feel a shuddering and vibration that starts at the front and seems to travel to the centre of the car. When I put the car in Park, the RPMS shoot for 3000RPMS and I switch it off before it gets that high. After a few hours the RPMS go back to normal. I know the inhibitor switch doesn't work right because I can start it in Park and Neutral. Any ideas what could be making the RPMS go high on start and how to fix? Thanks in advance!
