Ok, ive been given an Airpowersystems Unichip from a mate, he apparently pulled it out of a wrecked ED xr6, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. The only reason i have it is because he thought it might be worth something and kept it.

All I can find on the companys website is stuff for XR6T's and EF V8's.

All I have is the unichip with butchered wiring coming out of a plug

Not really worth anything these days. More can be done with J3 chips, and they are cheaper to use as well. Unichip makes a nice paperweight though.

I remember being a prblems with Unichip's in the sense that the ECU would relearn the factory maps around them.If I recall that's how JMM made his cash back in the early days. The unichip would be good for 500kms and then it needed a retune.

The architecture of the J3 chip and the programming behind it makes it a much better proposition.
