if you're good with a welder, i'd weld it in. you're gonna paint the engine bay anyway.
the eb battery setup is alot neater too, which should help with your tidy engine bay look.

cheers... its really coming along.

had a look today and the bloody fuel lines are too short so now i need some metal piping so i can join the lot togather... i might be able to extend the pipe before the fuel filter so that side is fixed but the return will have to be modified.

some cool pics there

this one here worries me a little though

Not sure if you left it that way but be careful with paint on the inside of the throttle body. Its going to get heat cycled, covered with oil and fuel and blasted with air. If/when the paint flakes its going straight into the engine.

it open and closes smooth. it was thoroughly cleaned with the products i mentioned a few pages back. it shouldnt flake off and if it starts ill simply paint up a new one (outside only)

this motor is only staying till i finish rebuilding the 4.0 and buy the turbo kit.

its also engine enamel so its designed to withstand a bit

looking great. i wish i had more time to work on my car.. work takes up 5 days (weekends also) and GF the other 2. so i have to work around them.

the main setback with mine is painting them all.

i have a mate coming over this weekend after work so hopefully we can have her running again on sunday.

then the motor comes out for the T5 and new loom.
