my son has a 5 litre commo vh v8 polished a9 rods flat top forged pistons ,small cam and 3.0 diff gears no head work runs 13 .2 no stally either and the engines worth 6500 around 250 hp at the rears you need 300 or more to break into the low 11,s at the rears . your turboed 6 should eat him alive with 6 / 8 pounds and torqe will not be an issue good luck you dont need luck horsepower talks and the bu** s**t walks

id like to see a non force fed 5L run better than a 13.4

A mate of mine has a full steel body, 4 door LH torana with a non-stroked, non-forced feed, red 308 that does 11.2 1/4mile, on slicks.
Lots of people think its a stroker, but its not. That was running on AVgas.

cjh your mate has had a little more than just a red motor with slicks fact remains and any seasoned drag racer will tell you 300 hp at the rears will get you into 11,s and slicks are not worth that much for a standard engine on av gas :(

what type o question is that!!! if the reason ur askin that is cos ur worried about losin!! u must no more than u sayin. he must have spent s**t loads on the donk and have 3.9 diff gears!!! a n/a falcon 6 should beat a n/a 5.ol commy hands down!! unless u runnin 2.77 diff gears lol

lawl he paid 5200 for it and has only spent money on short throw, full zorst and pod and 3.9s! Apparently it has a full rebuild. Against other vn's that he has run he hasnt lost. I dont own a turbod au but that is my project since im getting bored of my supra. I just wanted to see how a turbo au would fair against a vn 50. If you havent got anything positive to add then i suggest you leave your comments to yourself dude. I aint worried about losing to him, my supra proves that alone. How much torque would the 4lt hold turbod tho? I was planning on going for a 5lt au but after leaving a 220kw xr8 for dead then i changed my mind as my mates chared 6er commy pulls on my mates 50.

Torque on a turbo falcon 6 is like its calling card.....they pull from any revs. They start putting there Torque down at about 1,500rpm.
There Torque comes on tap early and stays there until high in the rev range in which case the kw has already taken over.
But this all depends on how you tune your car as well, i am taking that stats off the BA XR6T which i know is different to the AU but it is very much fundamentaly the same

Ahh kk. Cheers Griffo. I did take an f6 for a test drive a few months back and those things are awsome. I run a 3lt turbo in my supra and that has bucket loads of torque so from stuff that i have heard i wont be dissapointed. I was looking at the vct variant but ive heard that it is a b**ch t turbocharge due to the variable cam timing. Is this so?

yep bingo! stay with the non-VCT motor. much easier. the VCT is do-able, but non-VCT is the way to go.

Yea go the non VCT it will just be easier. Yea if you think the supra has great torque wait till you get a Turbo'd Falcon with its 4L LONG stroke motor. I can hear the tyres screaming for mercy already

Falcons seem to love the turbo longtime. I'd like to bash a hair-dryer on my EF mont one day. The ol 4.0L six seems to be a pretty f**k awesome motor.

Question. My EF mont only has a K&N panel and GT snorkel, everythign else is stock. My friend runs a VP with a 2.5inch zorst and has removed the throttle body restrictor plate. Should I be able to beat him? 0-60 he wins fairly consistantly, but we havent had a decent 0-100 yet.
