jmm cams are $490 for a billet but for $122+$80 for shims and similar profiles are avalibale in regrind through wade. i just wont the biggest cam that will run with the stock computer as drivabilitly is not a massive issue. the 977b is suppose to run stock computer but advised computer upgrade so i could add a piggy back ecu later for more RWKW. does anybody have this cam in there car is so advice would be nice.

Considering the price difference I think the decision is a no brainer. Unless you can prove to me that the more than double spent on a JMM cam is going to give you 50% better results...
And if your paying $80.00 for shims then they are ripping you off. Genuine Ford spare parts only charged me $46.00 for a second set.

Wade 1636. Yes you leave the standard shims in place, and just get a second set of standard shims, all your doing is doubling them up.

I beg to differ about dev5 being 'too big' for a regrind.
And I've never heard of mock doing billets, especially not for the same price as their regrinds.
