Whether V8capri is trusted or not, it doesnt change the fact that racing chassis dynos is not going to get you anywhere.

If you've genuinely picked up that much power just from him playing around with it, you should run 100+mph now.
The dragstrip shall be the judge!

Off topic cam, my mate with the ice mint XT just got 3.9s and a 4pin LSD put in.
His car has the exact same mods as yours otherwise.
He's coming to heathcote, so it should be interesting!
He hasn't run it since it was stock, and it got a best of 15.6 from memory then.
Think an edit is next on his list, but will be a while off.
Diff will have some kms up on it by this weekend, will notify of burnout ability.

fkn awesome, this is just what I need to see. I'm counting on those gears making a hell of a difference, hopefully he can crack the 14's. Of course the BA's computer is tighter than a nun and an edit would be the only logical choice after the gears. Did the gears and dif set him back much?? Ah how I dream of doing a burnout with more than 1 wheel.

Cant remember price off the top off my head.
I'll check with him and let you know, he got it done by a bloke in Melton.
Was a reco center and second hand gears, it feels nice to drive, will know better once I can do burnouts in it LOL
We reckons 14s are there for the taking!

a dyno sheet doesn't prove anything. that fact your running the MPH you do proves the dyno wrong.

your MPH will hardly change with traction or a slightly better shift into third,

i have a handfull of 14.84 to 15.18 time slips, all of them 92.4MPH except one that it ran a 92.21 the difference in time is traction and the speed of shifting, yet the trap speed is almost the same every time.
you wont pick up 4MPH just with a better shift

funny thing is, people are comparing the last time wen i flunked at calder to know...

a) then i was running standard air box (very restricitive)
b) i was LEANING out, bad, since then ive fixed them up
c) i completly have missed 3rd, as alot of the runs went straight to 5th
d) I WAS GOING OVER THE LINE AT 8PSI IN THE TYRES, SWAYING THE a** END, and it still was gripping, s**t tyres.

alot of u dont beilive me

so did the GENIII owner i surprised few weeks back

grechie, take it to calder. IIRC you ran worse times than 14.4 with this cam. Dyno's are only really good for a tuning device or comparing to other cars on the same day same conditions. I doubt you will beat your 14.4. But good luck.

you will get 13's man.... as long as u get some traction and get all the gears good, i think people are sceptical about your figures because they are jealous, lots of people have spents $$$ and failed to make good figures.. Good work dude.

people are scpetical because we are being realistic.
that cam and a stock head on pump fuel will never make that power. beleive what ever dyno you want, it doesn't mean s**t when the car can't run the MPH that the power and weight says it should. MPH is the prover of power, not the ET
