yeh, go the private sales. I got the ultimate shafting when i bought my EF from a dealer. $9378 for the car and years warrenty. found out later they gave the fella who traded it in $5500, i almost cried. shoulda found this site earlier. The chaps here are very helpful indeed. but also make me think of insurence fraud to buy one of their cars. check out the sales area of this forum, might find somethin for ya.

alright had a thought think i might look for a el xr6 what is the differance between ef el reading the mods i get the impression that the ef is s**t compared to the el and yeah might not be true and yeah thinking of getting a EBII xr6 there is one at michinbury for about 5990 or something any way will keep looking and reseacheding

Also no one has meationed an au hmmmm

Mod for mod, there is virtually no difference between an EF XR6 and an EL XR6. In fact, the EF has (arguably) the better intake.

For your price range an EBII XR6 (manual of course ) would certainly be the go.

There's nothing inherently wrong with a GLi or a Futura, but you will have more fun (not to mention, a better starting base, and a better package) in an XR6 :)

Either way, let us know how you go and be sure to post some pics.
