The first EA I had was fitted with a reco'd HM GEM motor, was only CFI, but it ran sweet. It had a 3spd auto and 2.77 diff. It pulled 80km/h out of 1st.

85km/h, i didn't relise i had it in first when i took off flat stick

lol...i had an EA MPFI with a 3 speed and 2.77 LSD...90 odd kms on the digital read out, never did that again

i think the BAs can reach 95+ with the 3.23 diff and 6000rpm redline

my 5 speed EA gets 62km/h @ 5300rpm out of first
the ED auto gets 95 in first on the limiter

*lucky to push 60-65 km/h... in a "T5 and 3.45 eqquipped EF Fairmont..

yeah i think thats what ive heard as well....
5700 in the EF so with 3.08 diff that must be around the same as the BA with 3.23 diff both are rediculessly tall

true, might as well turn the ED into a 3 speeder lol, it does 4500rpm in 3rd when it hits the speed limiter
