whilst i wait for my tax return to come in (and im hoping i get enough back)
i have come up with a list of things that car needs, or that i want it to have:
thus far i have the following schedule:

* replacement of EL headgasket with an AU one (my current H-G is rooted)
* change the cam over for an Rspec6 + vernier gear/springs/rockers
* stainless steel brake lines / dba slotted rotors / ebc greenstuffs
* transmission flush
* install transmission oil cooler
* electronic shift kit
* replace sparkplugs / leads
* flush radiator
* new oil and oil filter
* new powersteering fluid
* new diff oil
* and a tune...

just wondering what everyones thoughts are, as far as..
which spark plugs and leads to get ?
which brand/type of oil should i use ?
any other little cheap things i should have done while things are being ripped apart/open?

the car is a 1996 EL Futura, done about 168,000 and its owner enjoys a bit of spirited driving.

i'm just keen to hear any good advice / warnings / ideas from the wider e-series community.

throw a new set of wheel bearings in with the new discs,
and while changing springs to do the cam if your valve stem seals are had it, change them aswell.. while the head is off for the gasket you may need to have it shaved if its damaged.

i personally use Penrite oil, i run hpr10 in my 8, people normally use hpr15 in 6's from what ive heard. i also use penrtie LSD oil,, and i think its got castrol sumthing in the trans, NGK plugs
