hello guys

lookin around at putting in a system into my car but am a bit confused.
how do you people fit 6.5inch speakers into the 6inch holes???
arnt the speakers too big?

i am lookin at the response 6.5inch splits for the front and rears of my ef futura but aparently i have 6inch holes.

so am i gonna have to cut the holes out a bit bigger? or do some speakers 'just fit'?

thanx guys

use that site for a dimension comparison

also the 2 way JBL's I used to have were a good speaker.. but the tweeters 'just' touch the door trim

With the mdf ring all you do is grab some 9mm mdf and cut out a small spacer. Takes about 15min to do both sides and gives you more solid mounting anyway.

yeah those mdf rings i used on my rears then i got rid of it because it fit anyway. Some places like Strathfield call them Baffel Plates and i cant remember what autobahn call them. Here in SA auto bahn are the only people that sell them.
