Alrighty, I picked up a couple of speakers at a garage sale and have been trying to find out where they stand in the quality stakes, but google has not been my friend at all. Neither has my owner's manual. They are Venom 6.5" 3-way speakers 85w rms @ 4 ohms. What I would like to know is
1. are these better than the factory speakers in an AUIII XR6.
2. if yes, will they stand up to a 1000w peak 4 channel amp (specs say 80w rms {x4} @ 4 ohms in the amp manual. not quite sure how to interpret that, im sadly novice at audio tech)
3. if no then will the factory ones make the grade?

I was aiming originally for top range alpines but finances have dictated otherwise. Any advice is muchly appreciated and thanks in advance for all help
