Hey everyone....i have an AUII fairmont ghia with the premium sound system with the factory suybwoofer and amplifier.

I want to put my own sub and amp in my car but there is no RCA inputs in the back of the stock headunit. I dont know wat i can do to make it work..

can u guys please help me as i really want more bass than my stock 8 inch

the stock amp should have a yellow rca going into it, best to use a splitter on that then plug it into your new amp.

alternatively, you can chase it back to the end of the head-unit, cut it like.... 20cm from the head-unit if not closer, and solder on a good quality connector then use a splitter here and run the rca's of that (will need a rca joiner as well)

just a random thought.... **im also chasing the volts of the stock rca's if anyone knows**

i had the same problem. Iam just gonna use the one going to the stock amp with the spliter. i cant get the damn head unit out though, its like its jamed, i got the toold n all but the thing wont budge.any ideas, how'd you get yours out???

i just used a the ends of the coat hanger and put them through them two slots on the side of the head unit...i pushed them through it till it hit the end then pulled the headunit out...gotta give it a wiggle and iit'll eventually come out.

so there aint much to look at on the back of the stock unit or what?
