Im in the process of fitting an after market Amp and Sub
I have the std crap ICC system (jesus ford, you f**k up here) and I have found some yellow and black connector with the words AMP written on it tucked under the L/R speaker behind the boot liner.

I have the wiring manual see pictures attached and it says the amp plug should be C-396 coming from the ICC going to the amp and 2 more wires coming out of it to the Sub.

Im gonna lift my parcel tray cover off to see if the sub wires are there. The factory Sub hole is but I cant seam to find the wires.
Surely Ford, you would have used the same loom?

Looking at this factory suposedly AMP connector, tested the wires none have pwr coming out especially enough to pwr an amp. Is there something im missing here??
In fact according to the manual, that amp wire actually isnt the connector im looking for.

Will this even work or will i need to run a pwr cable through the car to the back and tap into the spk wires running to the rears?

any help on this factory wiring problem would be great. Cheers

I would definately be running a 4 or 8 gauge power lead back to the boot. Whatever amp you are running your sub with will be starved for power if your utilise any factory wiring on the power or earth side.

If I were you, I would run 4 gauge wire, that way when you decide to upgrade the rest of your system, you will be able to use a distribution block, rather than run another power lead.

How are you picking up RCA inputs for your new amp by the way?
