Hey all ... just wondering, has anyone here come up with a good place to install a mobile phone car kit? >.

On the ED, no matter where I seem to put it, it seems to be in the way of something ... like around the stereo, or around the gear stick ..

Im sure someone has done it, and come up with a good idea on where to mount the cradle or speaker! ..

passenger side of the gearstick towards the front. On the EF and EL's they had a holder that you could actually buy that clipped onto the side. My car has three holes that have been repaired, and they had it sitting on the drivers side of the gearstick, almost at the front of the panel

G'day Mate!

You might know me or my car at least. I havn't lived in noosa for almost 2 yrs now but. I drove a red ea s-pac falcon with fat as Kenwood stickers on it. and also a green el falcon classic with big fat as Attitude Audio stickers on the windscreens. I've also got a mate with a burgundy EA falcon there too!

I put both of my mob handsfree kits mounted directly from an aluminium bracket that comes out from the side of the dash board.
basically you drill four holes in the Fabricated aluminium bracket so that the nokia back plate can be mounted onto that with short self tapping screws.

It is a great place to mount your phone as it is highly visible, and easily accessible, and also out of the way of clumsy passengers.

The location I am talking about is directly to the left hand side of your centre air con vents. The negative side to this location is that you will have to remove your dash insert to mount the aluminium bracket.

the desired aluminium can be bought at most larger hardware stores and easily fabricated asit is quit soft.

If you have any question just give me a bell.
