Dash top speakers!?!!

Never heard of them... only the Ford 4" front door speakers and Rear Ford 6.5" would have only been about 8W max

From the fond memories of my EA Fairmont Ghia (Premo sound system).
The fronts were 4" 16w RMS - 40watt peak.
The rears were 6" 16w RMS - 40 watt peak

Hmmm, I wouldn't suggest placing tweeters in the dashboard recess. Try mounting them behind the wing mirror recess in the doors instead. The sound imaging is a lot better, especially for front passengers. Also, you won't have to contend with sound reflecting off the windscreen, which can muffle the treble somewhat.

I replaced the factory splits in my EF Ghia and opted to install the tweeters behind the wing mirror recess instead of the dashboard. To make the install more aesthetically pleasing I covered the new tweeters with speaker cloth (lunar mist colour to match the interior) - you can hardly tell they're even there.

Youll have to chuck up some pics mate. Sounds good. And Im fairly sure the preium sound were the only cars to recieve the tweeters. dcstraight would be the one to know for sure

Oh your talking about the 2 round grills on top of the dash at each end... I thought they were just demisting vents or air vents...

I've installed my VIFA D19 tweeters in there, Found that to be the best place for them, But then again, the tweeters are 19mm but the whole tweeter surround is about 100mm So I cut away all the plastic vents from there, and they fit nicely in there .

Put a dash matt over the top, Looks like there is nothing there .. Can't even see them though the holes in the dash matt ..
