Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with any of these sort of headunits off eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3-6-TFT-LCD-IN-D ... dZViewItem

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/832-NEW-CAR-iPOD ... dZViewItem

I did a search and found some people were using the eonon stuff without many issues but my instincts are telling me to stay the hell away from cheap eBay stuff.
I was looking at these headunits in particular. Opinions?

Your instincts are right.
You get what you pay for.
There are some real cheap and nasty ones on the Bay. However, if you find ones with brand name components in it (e.g. Sharp LCD's, Panasonic chips, whatever), they sometimes can be alright.
But at the end of the day they definately do look and feel cheap.
I've never regreated changing from el cheepo eBay ones to buying a decent Pioneer one with Blaupunkt screens. Well worth the money.
O, and if your going to buy one of those two units, definately the Enon one.

twr7cx hit the nail on the head there! It's from China... I don't touch anything from asian countries, its not worth the risks....

Also, if it's made overseas, unless the AM band is made specifically for the Australiasian market, the AM tuner will not work....

Meant, from ebay as for the countries, don't buy items with asian country ebay origin
